Description :
Caffeine is a bronchial smooth muscle relaxant, a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant, respiratory system stimulant and a cardiac muscle stimulant .
Indications :
- diaphragmatic fatigue
- poisoning of C.N.S inhabitants.
- to manage respiratory movements and heart's beats.
in camels, horses, cattle, sheep and goats.
Contraindication :
- Hypersensitivity to Caffeine
- Not to be used in pregnant animals as it passes the placenta causing pantamorphia of fetus .
Side effects :
Caffeine has a property of accumulation, so it should not be used for long-term treatment and high dosages .
High doses will increase heart's beats and diuresis .
Usage :
For intramuscular, intravenous or subcutaneous injection .
Dosage :
Camel, cattle and horses : 12-25 ml per animal
Calves, sheep and goats : 2-7 ml per animal
Withdrawal Period :
Meat : 5 days Milk : 3 days
Storage conditions :
Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight .
