Cloxacillin Sodium 200 mg
Ampicillin Trihydrate 75 mg
Description :
Cloxacillin is a specific antibiotic against Staphylococcus which shows resistance to Pencillin G.
Ampicillin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with a bactericidal activity against a large number of bacteria with an activity similar to that of Pencillin against gram-positive bacteria, and against gram-negative bacteria but less active than Pencillin .
The combination of Cloxacillin and Ampicillin gives this medicine more activity against the most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Indications :
CLOXAMAST is indicated for treatment of mastitis cause by bacteria susceptible to Cloxacillin and Ampicillin, in cows, ewes, mares and she-camel .
Usage :
For intra-mammary treatment
Evacuate the udder completely.
Wash the udder and teats thoroughly with warm water containing suitable disinfectant, then infuse the content of the injector in the infected quarter or half, then massage the whole udder to allow the medicine to go through the milk ducts .
Dosage :
Cows, mares and she-camels : 1 injector in the infected quarter or half, twice daily, for 3-5 days .
Ewes: half injector in the infected half twice daily, for 3-5 days
Withdrawal period :
Meat: 5 days, Milk: 3 days.
Storage conditions :
Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight.
