Flumequine 200 mg
Description:
Flumequine is a quinolone derivative with bactericidal action against mainly gram-negative bacteria. After oral administration Flumequine is absorbed quickly and after two hours maximum plasma concentrations are obtained.
Indications:
Gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary tract infections caused by flumequine sensitive micro-organisms, like Campylobacter, E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella and Salmonella ., in calves, sheep, goats and poultry.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to Flumequine
- Animals with hepatic or renal failure
Side effects:
Hypersensitivity reactions.
Interactions:
Avoid administration with Trimethoprim, Phenylbutazon and Vitamin A.
Usage:
Oral With Drinking Water
Dosage:
Poultry: 100-200 ml for 200 liter of water for 3-5 days
Calves, Sheep, Goats: 10 ml per 75 kg body weight twice daily for 3 - 5 days
Withdrawal period:
Ruminants: Meat: 7 days
Poultry: Meat: 3days. Eggs:2 days
Storage conditions:
Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight .
