Composition:

each 1 ml contains:

Gentadmycin Sulphate        100 mg

Doxycycline Hydrochloride   50 mg

Description:

Gentamycin belongs to the group of aminoglycosides and acts bactericidal against mainly Gram-negative bacteria like E. coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella and Salmonella. The bactericidal action is based on inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis.

Doxycycline belongs to the group of tetracyclines and acts bacteriostatic against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria like Campylobacter, E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. Doxycycline is also active against Chlamydia, Mycoplasma and Rickettsia spp. The action of doxycycline is based on inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis. Doxycycline has a great affinity to the lungs and is therefore especially useful for treatment of bacterial respiratory infections.

The combination of Gentamycin and Doxycycline acts synergistically against a large number of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Indications:

Poultry:
  • to avoid early mortality in one-day-old chicks caused by E Coli & Salmonella infection .
  • treatment of CRD, Mycoplasma, E Coli & air sac infections .
Ruminants:

Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by doxycycline and gentamyicn sensitive micro-organisms, like, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus .

Contraindications:

     -   Hypersinsitivity to gentamycin and/or Doxycycline .

     -   Animals with hepatic or renal failure

Side effects:

     -   Hypersensitivity reactions.

     -   In prolonged treatment, kidney destruction may occurs

Usage:

Oral With Drinking Water

Dosage:

Poultry: 300 ml for 200 liter of water for 3 days .
Camel and Cattle: 8 ml per 5 kg of body weight for 3 days .

Sheep: 2.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight for 3 days .

Withdrawal period:

Ruminants:  Meat: 15 days         Milk: 7 days 

Poultry:  Meat: 15 days        Eggs: 7 days

Storage conditions:

Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight .
