Composition :
Each injector of 10 g contains :
Gentamycin Sulphate 500 mg
Description :
Gentamicin belongs to the group of aminoglycosides, it has a bactericidal activity against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is also active against mycoplasmas.
Gentamicin may be active against bacteria, which are resistant to other aminoglycoside antibiotics (like neomycin, streptomycin, kanamycin).
Indications :
GENTAMAST is indicated for treatment of mastitis caused by micro-organisms, susceptible to gentamicin in cows, ewes, mares, and she-camels.
Usage :
For intra-mammary treatment
Evacuate the udder completely.
Wash the udder and teats thoroughly with warm water containing suitable disinfectant, then infuse the content of the injector in the infected quarter or half, then massage the whole udder to allow the medicine to go through the milk ducts .
Dosage :
Cows, mares and she-camels : 1 injector in the infected quarter or half, twice daily, for 3 days .
Ewes: half injector in the infected half twice daily, for 3 days
Withdrawal period :
Meat: 7 days, Milk: 3 days.
Storage conditions :
Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight.
