Sulphadiazine Sodium 200 mg
Trimethoprim 40 mg
Description:
The combination of Trimethoprim and Sulphadiazine acts synergistically against a large number of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria .
After oral administration, there will be a rapid absorption of both components from the gastrointestinal tract.
Indications:
Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by trimethoprim and sulfadiazine sensitive micro-organisms, like E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus., in camel, cattle, sheep, goat and poultry .
Contraindication:
- Hypersensitivity to trimethoprim and/or sulphonamides.
- Animals with a renal and/or hepatic failure .
Side effects:
- Hypersensitivity reaction .
- After long-term treatment and high dosages crystalluria can occur.
Usage:
Oral With Drinking Water
Dosage:
Ruminants: 1 ml per 10 kg body weight for 4–5 days
Poultry: 100 ml per 100 liters of drinking water for 4-5 days.
Withdrawal Period:
Poultry: Meat:3 days Eggs: 3 days .
Ruminant: Meat: 8 days Milk: 3 days
Storage conditions:
Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight .
