Description :
Flunixin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and a non-narcotic analgesic with antipyretic properties. It is used in the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculo-skeletal disorders and colic. In addition it is used for the control of acute inflammation reactions associated with infectious diseases. Flunixin is also applied as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of respiratory diseases.
Indications :
- Musculo-skeletal disorders associated with pain and inflammatory : arthritis, tendonitis, myositis, lamenitis and lameness.
- Respiratory diseases, pneumonia and pasteurella infections.
- Abdominal pains and colic.
- Bacterial endotoxic shock in horses.
Contraindication :
Do not use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.
Usage :
Intramuscular injection
Dosage :
Horses : 1 ml per 45 kg body weight. Treatment may be repeated once or twice if colic recurs. In case of musculo-skeletal disorders, treatment is once daily for up to 5 days according to clinical response.
Cattle, sheep and Goats : 1 ml per 20 kg body weight. Repeat if necessary at 24 hours intervals for up to 3 consecutive days.
Withdrawal period :
Meat: 14 days

Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight .
