Description :
Ampicillin is a semi-synthetic broad-spectrum penicillin with bactericidal action against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The range of effect includes Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus.
The bactericidal action is due to inhibition of cell wall synthesis.
Ampicillin is mainly excreted in urine. A major part can also be excreted in bile.
Indications :
AMPICILLIN is indicated in poultry for the treatment of the gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary tract infections caused by micro-organism susceptible to Ampicllin .
Contraindications :
Animals with renal or liver failure .
Usage :
Oral with drinking water
Dosage :
40 g per 200 liter of drinking water for 3-5 days .
Withdrawal period :
Poultry : Meat: 4 days Eggs :3 days.
Ruminant : Meat : 5 days Milk : 2 days .
Storage conditions :
Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight
