Ciprofloxacin 100 mg
Description:
Ciprofloxacin belongs to the group of quinolones and acts bactericidal against mainly Gram negative bacteria like Campylobacter, E. coli,Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella and Salmonella spp.
Indications:
Gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary tract infections caused by Ciprofloxacin sensitive micro-organisms, like Campylobacter, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella and Salmonella in ruminants and poultry .
Contraindications:
- Hypersinsitivity to Ciprofloxacin
- Animals with hepatic or renal failure
Side effects:
Hypersensitivity reactions.
Administration to young animals can lead to arthropathy.
Interactions:
Avoid administration with tetracyclines, chloramphenicol, macrolides and lincosamides .
Usage:
Oral With Drinking Water
Dosage:
Poultry: 100-200 ml for 200 liter of drinking water for 3-4 days
Ruminants : 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight for 3-5 days
Withdrawal period:
Ruminants:
Meat: 7 days Milk: 3 days
Poultry:
Meat: 4 days Eggs: 3 days
Storage conditions:
Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight .
