Composition :

each 1 ml contains :

Dexamethasone             2 mg

Description :

Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid with a strong antiphlogistic, anti-allergic, anti-stress and glucogenetic action.

Indications :

the treatment of ketosis (acetonemia), shock condition, pre- and post operative, prevention of Stress, allergy, urticaria, pruritus, eczema, non specific skin disease, arthritis, tendovaginitis, bursitis, spondylitis, hernia of intervertebral disks, mastitis, metritis, agalactia, tetany, oedema, olitis externa, keratitis, indigestions.

Contraindications :

  • during viral infections
  • osteoporosis
  • heart, kidney, or liver disturbances
  • late pregnancy
  • lactating animals
  • diabetes mellitus.

Side effects:

- A temporary drop in milk production in lactating animals.

- Polyuria and polydipsia.

- Reduced resistance against all pathogens.
- delayed wounds healing .

Usage :

For intramuscular,intravenous and intra-articular injection .

Dosage :

Horses and cattle:                            5-15 ml

Foals, calves, sheep and goats:    1-3 ml

Dogs and cats:                      0.1-1 ml

For intra-articular injection: it is necessary to remove a quantity of synovia equal to the injected quantity (under asceptical conditions).

1-5 ml intra-articular for large animals

0.2-2.5 ml peri-articular for small animals.

Withdrawal period :

Meat : 3 days .  

Storage conditions :

Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight .

Packing :

vial of 50 ml & 100 ml.
