Composition :
Each ml contains:
Spectinomycin Sulphate 100 mg
Lincomycin Hydrochloride 50 mg
Description :
The combination of lincomycin and spectinomycin acts additive and in some cases synergistic. Spectinomycin acts bacteriostatic or bactericidal, depending on the dose, against mainly Gram-negative bacteria like Campylobacter, E. coli, Mycoplasma and Salmonella . Lincomycin acts bacteriostatic against mainly Gram-positive bacteria like Mycoplasma, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus .
Indications :
Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by lincomycin and spectinomycin sensitive micro-organisms, like Campylobacter, E. coli, Mycoplasma, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus, in horses, camels, cattle, cats, dogs, goats, sheep, poultry and turkeys
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to Spectinomycin and/or Lincomycin .
- Animals with renal or liver failure .
- Not to be used for hens producing eggs for human consumption.
Side effects :
Hypersensitivity reaction .
Interactions:
Oxytetracycline should not be used concomitantly with Penicillins, Cephalosporines or Quinolones .
Usage :
Poultry and Turkey : subcutaneous injection
Other animals : intramuscular injection
Dosage :
Large animals : 1 ml per 10 kg of body weight, for 3 - 5 days.
Small animals : 1 ml per 5 kg of body weight, for 3 - 5 days.
Withdrawal Period :
Poultry and turkey : Meat : 7 days .
Other animals : Meat : 14 days Milk : 3 days .
Storage conditions :
Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight .
