Description :
Tilmicosin is an antibiotic belongs to the group of Macrolides .
It acts mainly against gram-positive bacteria and some of gram-negative bacteria. It is also active against Mycoplasmas.
Indications :
Respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida in cattle and sheep .
Contraindications :
dairy animals producing milk for human consumption .
administrated only for cattle and sheep ( risk of death in horses and goats) .
Usage :
For subcutaneous injection
Dosage :
1 ml per 30 kg body weight .
Precaution :
Avoid I.V injection which may leads to death .
Withdrawal period :
Meat: 28 days .
Storage conditions :
Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight .
