Composition:

Each 13.4g spray can contains:

Rifaximin        100 mg      

Description:

Rifaximin is a synthetically produced antibiotic belonging to the Rifamycin Family.

Rifaximin does not cross organic barriers, thus the dose administered 

remains longer and completely active in the uterus.

Rifaximin concentrations in uterine fluids are many times higher than MICs for common pathogens; that means High antibiotic activity prolonged over time.

UTE-FOAM is a highly active against Gram-positive microorganisms (corynbacteria, staphylococci, streptococci) and Gram-negative microorganisms (  E-Coli, pasteurella, salmonella, etc.)

Indications:

UTE-FOAM is indicated for treatment of bacterial infections of the genital organs of the cow and mare.

It's particularly indicated for acute and chronic endometritis, metritis, cervicitis, vulvovaginitis and pyometra.

Administration and Dosage:

COWS:
Acute and chronic endometritis, metritis, cervicitis: 50-200 mg (equivalent to 1/2 - 2 cans) in single administration according to the size of the uterus to be treated. A check on the extent of dilation of the treated organ should by means of rectal palpation throughout treatment.
Vulvovaginitis: 100 mg + 100 mg (equivalent to 1 + 1 cans), the second administration taking place 24 h after the first.
Pyometra: 50 - 200 mg (equivalent to 1/2 - 2 cans) - after clearing the uterine cavity - in single administration according to the size of the uterus to be treated.

MARES:
Acute and chronic endometritis: 100 - 400 mg (equivalent to 1 - 4 cans) in single administration according to the size of the uterus to be treated.
Administer via vaginal-uterine route. For a better results follow the suggestion for right application. Use of idoneous plastic catheter (as Bovivet) (not included in the pack) is advocated.
Treatment can be repeated without complications at the discretion of the veterinary practitioner.

Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect  from direct sunlight.
