Phenylbutazone Sodium 200 mg
Description :
Phenylbutazone is a non-steroid anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic agent.
it is used for relief of inflammatory conditions associated with muscloskeletal system disorders .
Indications :
- used as anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic.
- arthritis, rheumatism, bursitis, tendinitis, myositis, neuritis
- painful injuries (like sprain, muscle damage)
- lamenitis and lameness.
- abdominal pains and colic.
- in combination with antibiotic in treatment of enzootic pneumonia and mastitis.
in horses, cattle, sheep, and goats .
Contraindication :
- animals which have history of drug allergy.
- cardiac and renal failure.
- Not be used in Oedema & ulceration of gastrointestinal tract.
Usage
For deep intramuscular and slowly intravenous injection
Dosage
Horses : 10-20 ml per animal
Cattle : 10-15 ml per animal
Calves and foals : 6-10 ml per animal, every 1 or 2 days.
Sheep and goats : 1 ml per 10 kg body weight every 1 or 2 days .
Precautions :
- For horses : slowly intravenous injection only .
- Avoid the application of more than 10 ml in cattle per injection site.
Withdrawal period :
Meat : 21 days Milk : 4 days
Storage conditions :
Store in airtight containers, in a moderate temperature (15-25 C) and protect from direct sunlight.
Packing :
vial of 100 ml.
